A sweet taste of Oklahoma, from our vantage point

Well, we have been here almost one and half months now... Long enough to share with you what life in Oklahoma has been like. Enjoy!

Here is a beautiful picture of a storm rolling through...

Eli in his favorite play spot on base. Yipee!

The Wichita mountains near Lawton, Oklahoma.

All he wild life we saw IN the Wichita's wildlife refuge.
The bird you see is called a Kite. If you ate not careful and center too close to their nests, you can find yourself being dive bombed!! Trust me, they will attack..

The wildlife refuge we hiked around in..

I love that adventurous husband of mine!!

And our silly adventure dog :)

Our rest spot! Isn't it beautiful??

That thing to the right of our trail, in the field, is a buffalo! We weren't sure how to get past it at first, but my brave Andrew went ahead of us so we could get by safely! Phew!!

Another rest spot! Makes me miss the TN mountains for sure :(

Frozen self served yogurt!! Yum!!

Quartz mountain state park! Wow!

The beach at the park.

After a run out there, I realized just how badly I needed some more running shoes.

Can you tell the difference?? ;)

Snakes and cotton!! Commonality? Both very plentiful here-- YIKES!

Look! We found 'Mater here....hmm.. Actually, I don't know if that is encouraging or discouraging..

Yea, we are in the land of the cowboys now :)

A monument in Oklahoma City of the Oklahoma Land Run... Pretty neat little byte of history that explained the reasoning for the football team name, the Sooners.

And here is home sweet home...

Well.. Kinda :) It's a temporary home, but what home outside our eternal dwelling place can really be called home?

"And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts..." Acts 2:46

Blessings!!
