Day 4-6--Breckenridge,CO!

Good morning!! Our time in Colorado has been well spent and much enjoyed. We left Dillon early Monday morning to get to the town of Frisco where Eli was going to be boarded until Wednesday.

Here I am at the shopping mall in Dillon before we left:

...and where we got me some snow boots!! Hallelujah!! They are super cozy too :)

And the wonderful temp where we are going.... Yikes!!

We dropped off eli at his "dog house" and headed to our hotel: the beaver run resort (sorry I didn't take pictures of the room! It was really beautiful, but I think the view from our balcony topped it for sure). Our view:

Andrew hit up the slopes on Tuesday while I stuck around the hotel to do some much needed laundry and some finance organization from the last month. It was good down time for me.

Here's where Andrew went skiing (the best part was I could see his lift from the skyway in our hotel! It was way too cold just to slip outside for some snapshots!):

... This is the temp...

Andrew was sweet enough to take a freeze to video for me while he was on the mountain:

I missed being out there this year, but I felt closer with the video!

We also made some time to see the area. Any drive anywhere around here was gorgeous:

Our last night, Tuesday night, we made some chili in the room, built a fire and then went to explore the town!

Heres a night shot of our hotel-- beaver run resort:

The town (and yes, I am freezing!!):

I wish this shot wasn't so blurry. It's my favorite picture!!

Love this one too...

Wow!! Check out that cupcake!! So yummy looking!!

They are still in the holiday mindset here :)

Well, Wednesday came fast and now we are on our way to pick up our puppy: Eli's coming to town!!

Yey! Puppy was So ready to come home... He needs to be fattened up again... Lost a lot of weight since he's been there. They said he wouldn't eat.. Poor guy!

He is happy to be back with us again!

Gotta love the pup's passion for snow:

We wanted to hit up ONE more place in Colorado before we said goodbye...

How about beaver creek??

... And the famous ritz Carlton (this is the place my family and I would ski to and meet the chef at the bottom handing out hot oatmeal chocolate chip cookies... Mmmmm.... Good times):

Here is the inside. Beautiful!!

The view from the hearth:

Andrew and I found a funny little bear bench; he sat in it so I could get a good picture of him and the bear... However, the bear never showed up! Oh well, at least handsome did :)

Buffalo head!

Love the ceiling fixtures:

Sitting next to the hearth and warming up a bit before we travel back out to our car:

Bye-bye Ritz Carlton!! Wish you would have had those yummy marshmallow bowls with s'more ingredients ready for us! Maybe next time :)

On the road again!!

Well, that's all for today! Onwards to Salt Lake City, Utah!
