Here's what we woke up to on Christmas morning:
Beautiful :)
Eli was all bundled up in socks--his Christmas paws-- for the occasion (and for the sake of my parent's hardwood floors)
...he awaits that Christmas ball he KNOWS he's getting.
Finally, the boys wake up and we break out the coffee, hot cocoa, italian panettone and sugar cookies... Delici!
Then came the stockings and presents :) We changed things up a bit this year and celebrated giving our gifts by handing out the gifts we got for one another instead of collecting the gifts we got in piles by our feet. I think everyone had a great time trying it out (even if they did complain). It was a lot of fun just cheering on one another for absolutely nothing!

The best one was mom's gift prank dad and I pulled on her :) Mom and dad made an agreement that he would let her pick out her new sunglasses for Christmas. Well, dad found an old sunglass box, a pair of sunglasses from his laser surgery and some fun Christmas stickers... And well, we got some good laughs! Mom went from angry that he would go ahead and buy glasses...
Until she put them on...
She got some good gift certificates out of that funny!
And Eli FINALLY got his ball!
So happy :)
When all the gifts were unwrapped, we packed up and went to Athens TN to see the rest of our family.

We left earlier than usual to avoid icy roads after the dark... But we had a really great time spending some time together playing games, eating sausage balls, popcorn and hot cocoa. We ended the evening watching Christmas favorites...
