Did I mention diligence was going to be a challenge while in Knoxville?
Well, I am back to sparatic blogging once again!
Tis the season ;)
This last weekend deserves to be documented though. It was so much fun!
First off, mom and I were schooled in the arts at Bobby Crew's studio in downtown Knoxville.
Bobby Crews does a lot of art around town (specializing in cars, portarits and advertising) and, since we have some history with her and her family, it made our lesson even more enjoyable!
Mom's color experiments:
My piece is obviously coming slowly... but surely!
I am hoping that my picture will turn out like very similar to this Pottery Barn print:
Some of my beginnings...
Here is some of the print:
Another fun event was my very dear friend Ashley Hoppen and her sister Cassie came to see me on Thursday and stayed until Sunday morning. It was such a treat to hang out with her again-- and I really enjoyed getting to know Cassie as well! Such sweet girls!
They went kayaking on the lake on Friday night-- it was a lot of fun to see how fast Cassie picked it up!
Sisters!
And of course, Lady bug came to visit!
Poor thing.... she is hiding from a storm that hit us pretty bad on Saturday night.
(Random: I am also trying to pick out some color schemes that work for the nursery.
This is what I have so far...)
Here in July, I will try to make it all work together.
Stay tuned.
This should be interesting... ;)
Father's Day:
I think dad had fun :)
Here is Ty's gift to dad:
The brothers:
Mattie Moo ;)
My grandpa Jack:
Yes, this is how my mom grew up: Being filmed by director Jack Ferrell. Haha!
Mom presented the eagle she is working on for him.
So far it looks awesome!
Grandpa was really happy she was doing it for him.
I think grandpa will really like it once she is finished too!
I wish I took picture of the rest of the day, but it got so blooming hot!
Mom and I ended up taking a walk to the front of the neighborhood to collect wild blackberries!
We plan on making something yummy with it tomorrow.
I WILL take pictures then!
That wraps up this weekend.
I will catch you up on more as the week rolls on ;)
